  1. What I’m Doing These Days

Coming from St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg is a hoax.

I had very low expectation from the city, but apparently they were somewhat higher than very low. Due to this ‘oh, St. Peterburg!’ proclaim I heard from every Russian.

I was invited by Roman, an internet friend, to stay with him and his wife. And oh God, they saved my time there! I love them, I’m very grateful for my time in St. Petersburg.

The city is just a disaster. They stole so much from European culture, not understanding it even a little bit. They faked the entire city, to appear European. It’s just unimaginable, it’s worth visiting, but you have to understand its context and its history. I agree, it’s the best city in Russia.

Probably because they have no other cities (except with this garbage dump, Moscow).

But it’s still Russia. One of the worst places to live on the planet.
