I just finished all my experimental website projects. I’d like to summarise my experience and what I learned with them. I tried to utilise the most modern technologies, and I’m very happy about the result.
- Also, I deployed a number of local websites for my intranet. Won’t show them, but will write about them.
I suspended my Rostymo microgreens business. Deprioritised summarising my experience till later, as it’ll take a long time, and a huge effort.
Professionally#
I’m consulting the local branch of an international TOI TOI & DIXI Group GmbH as a web-developer.
- Mostly with the services we developed inside the company and their public website too. It’s a part-time hybrid (mostly remote) gig now, and I’m doing it mostly to support the company during the hard times of surviving the war.
- At the moment, the primary public website is being updated, so I expect it to see the public later this year.
- I’m helping with internal infrastructure too.
Job Hunt#
I’ve started seeking my next team to join.

Still living in L’viv, Ukraine with my wife and two kids. The kids attend their Kindergarten, the wife visits her home office, with occasional office office visits. I’m here and there, helping everyone and managing my life. Trying to get back to daily physical exercises, it’s tought now.
We expect a rough winter, mostly with blackouts. As of now, we don’t plan to leave Ukraine. We’ll see how it goes, if it’ll be too rough we would relocate either to a countryside, where we have some electricity generation. Or we may relocate to Kraków, Poland.
I didn’t plan to relocate, as I relocated here already. However, I may be open to a relocation opportunity, if one arises. Before kids, I was a kind of digital nomad type, travelling for years. Now, it’s more grounded.
What’s This ‘Now’ Page?#
This page is inspired by a good idea from Derek Sivers.
A website with a link that says ‘now’ goes to a page that tells you what this person is focused on at this point in their life.
Think of what you’d tell a friend you hadn’t seen in a year.
“Any time I’m in something that kind of feels useful or fun, but isn’t clearly aligned with my bigger goals, I pull up my now page and ask ‘Is it on there? Should I add it?’ Most of the time the answer is no, and I move on. Sometimes it’s yes, and when it is, at least it’s an intentional priority shift.” — Gregory Brown

Previous Nows of Mine#
I like this idea, so I made a separate page, to preserve some history.
I’m planning to keep the About page mostly static, and Now page dynamic.
Also, check out my news project, it has a similar vibe, but a slightly different goal and meaning.
