I used to be on every possible messenger and social network as @BasilSkrnk. Most of those accounts are abandoned.
- If you met me somewhere else, you may try to contact me there. However, it’s not a reliable way. I may read your message within months or years.
Direct Contact#
-
Email Me
The best way to contact me is to write me an email. It’s reliable, and I’ll read your message within 24 hours most times, or a couple of days worst times.
- I have Proton Mail too, if you like.
While I may read your email quite quickly from my iPhone, I may reply within a week or two, depending on many factors in my real life.
- Especially if I see it can wait,
- and/or a more thorough reply is expected.
- If you expect me to reply right away, state it in your message please, if it’s not clear from the context.
Instant Messengers
A faster turnaround can be achieved by messaging me at matrix.org (you’d need an account).
- That doesn’t guarantee I’ll be quick(er) to reply there, so I recommend connecting via email first.
Social Networks#
Here is the list of my public internet profiles that I’m aware of:
-
LinkedIn
- I remember the times LinkedIn was so bad, that I’ve not yet grown to appreciate and use it. But I cannot deny its usefulness for a professional life. Saying that, I’m not very active there. Although, I try to keep my profile up-to-date.
-
Instagram
- I’m on Instagram, as everyone these days.
- I’ve been a very active user since my first iPhone, early 2012. Till circa 2017.
- I’m not an active visitor these days, I may visit it once in a while to like some post of a real person I know.
- Writing me there is unreliable.
- You may follow me, if you like, but do not expect me to either follow you back (I may not even notice, sorry) or post often.
- I plan to keep my Instagram activity limited, once in a while is plenty for me.
-
Facebook. I’m on Facebook too, but I’m no longer a frequent visitor.
- If you like, we can keep in touch there, but don’t expect me to be active.
- I may visit to connect to some distant people. I think, it’s a perfect way to have some minor contacts, like that person you met on an airplane, why not?
- I don’t plan to be active there, unless I need something. E.g. I like its events and communities for some real-life events.
-
Behance. I was very active on the platform once, mostly as an Instagram-alternative. Scrolling and exploring the nice works of others, you know. Although, it doesn’t work as a source of inspiration for me.
- I have some projects published there, and I plan to publish more, at some point.
-
Dribbble. I never liked the platform, so I’m inactive there.
- However, I admit, the platform matured significantly over the years, and may have a nice community.
- Twitter was my favourite network since its inception. I was an active user with various accounts for many years (over 15).
- I was active on Reddit too, but I’m no longer.
Potentially interesting social networks that I haven’t explored yet:
- Skuttlebutt (wiki)
- Lemmy, a decentralised Reddit alternative.
- GoToSocial
I have some other profiles, but they’re irrelevant.
- E.g. some travelling-related social media, like Swarm, Foursquare, CouchSurfing, Booking.com, AirBNB, Google Local Guides etc.
If you found any other public profile that is not listed here, chances are it’s an imposter. Please, let me know of them.
