Planting Trees with My Local Community

My city council started a great movement, named ‘Give your city a tree’. Its the initiative that allows people to sponsor planting a tree. All you need to do is to register the Google Form.

As far as I’m aware, this initiative is active since 2020.

Within the last year alone, 326 trees and shrubs were planted within the framework of the autumn action ‘Give your city a tree’

138 applications for the design were submitted to the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv City Council. Thus, within the autumn season of the campaign ‘Give Your City a Tree’ residents are ready to sponsor and plant trees and shrubs in 326 holes in different areas of the city, which have been prepared with gardeners.

Lviv gardeners test each application and contact the participants of the action, inform them of the availability of a seedling, its cost and provide an invoice for payment. Specialists in the care and landscaping of the respective area or park and with the participation of participants of the action (optional) will be planted.
